The Classic Car Boot Sale - the place where it all started.

Charity Super.Mkt takes over Coal Drops Yard!

Since 2020, HemingwayDesign have been bringing together a lineup of charity retailers, creating a ‘charity shop zone’ as part of the long-running  The Classic Car Boot Sale.

Taking place twice a year every year, The Classic Car Boot Sale draws in crowds of over 20,000 people to King’s Cross, ready to shop vintage fashion, admire beautiful classic vehicles, dance to vinyl DJs, eat fab street food, and now, to support an incredible range of charities selling their best vintage pieces.

Over the last three and a bit years, the ‘charity shop zone’ takeover in Coal Drops Yard has become an event in its own right and so we thought it was about time to give it a name and an identity. Charity Super.Mkt was born and developed from a market-style biannual pop-up to stints in major shopping centres around the UK. You can read more about our first store at Brent Cross Shopping Centre here.

In April 2023, following two successful pop-up shop openings in North London and Reading, Charity Super.Mkt returned to King’s Cross for the largest Charity Super.Mkt zone The Classic Car Boot Sale had ever seen, bringing together 12 national and local charity retailers in a 200 square metre space packed with vintage, charity goodies.

We’ll be back at Kings Cross for the next Classic Car Boot Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2023. Can’t wait till then? Our next pop-up market event will be taking place Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June in Salford as part of We Invented The Weekend, a FREE 2-day festival celebrating all the wonderful ways people fill their weekend’s in the very place the weekend was invented!

Catch us there and get in touch to chat with us about getting Charity Super.Mkt involved in your next event.

This is one of the best experiences that we’ve ever had within the charity sector. There’s very few things in this life at the moment that you walk away from feeling better than when you went in. This is one of those experiences. Everybody should come here and spend the day
— Paul, Cancer Research Manager at Charity Super.Mkt.
The experience here has been eclectic and amazing. For us just to be here surrounded by like-minded people who are here to look for specialised and interesting items, it’s just a great place for us to be
— Brinda Rambaran, eBay Manager, Vision Foundation.
It’s been absolutely fantastic, a great atmosphere. People absolutely love it!
— Catherine Harrington, Head of Retail, North London Hospice.
