HOW IT STARTED

From 2020 to 2022, we gathered a cohort of charity retailers, creating a ‘charity supermarket’ as part of HemingwayDesign’s Classic Car Boot Sale. Charity Super.Mkt has returned to The Classic Car Boot Sale every year since, growing every time.

After two years of market style pop-ups at The Classic Car Boot Sale, Charity Super.Mkt moved things up a gear in January 2023 with our first bricks-and-mortar residency at Brent Cross Shopping Centre and what a success it was!

Our launch article was the 3rd most read article on the BBC and the news spread like wildfire, featuring on overseas news broadcasts in Japan, we extended our pop-up for an extra two weeks because you loved it so much!

Meet the founders

Charity Super.Mkt was founded off the back of believing that charity retail is the real deal in offering the best of sustainable shopping that benefits everybody. Charity Super.Mkt was created in response to a rise in second-hand greenwash and to disprove the outdated notion that charity shops ruin high streets. Listening to charities and their desire to broaden their demographic and horizons we created a great trusted umbrella brand that get charity retailers into the mainstream spaces and places that they would normally not be able to access creating a brand that would fit nicely into any location prominent location.
